Job description
As a Key Account Manager, you will be active in the Belgium – Netherland region.
- You maintain close contact with both new and existing clients. You identify opportunities (e.g. cross-selling) and act on them. You know how to convince clients and prospects with your thorough preparation (e.g. brand research, regular visits, etc.);
- You develop key relationships with contacts in the target segments (middle and premium market in the retail sector), particularly in marketing, visual communications, merchandising, CSR and purchasing;
- Through market analysis (both desk research and field research, as well as analysis of social media and trends), you are aware of what is happening in the market and understand your customers’ needs;
- You are an ambassador for the company and its products. With your in-depth knowledge of the company's offerings, you can provide targeted advice from the prospecting phase all the way through to delivery;
- You are the key link between the company and your customers. Throughout the sales process, you maintain close contact with your clients and with your colleagues in marketing, CSR, project management, production, and supply chain;
- Through business reports and KPI analysis, you track your commercial results. You report directly to the Sales Director Europe, currently based in Sweden;
- Initially you will spend most of your time in sales office in Kortrijk, Belgium, and in the production unit in Evreux, France.
Profile
- You hold a bachelor's or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as economics or marketing;
- You have at least five years of experience in a similar consultative sales role. Experience in the graphics or packaging industry is a plus;
- You speak and write fluently in Dutch, French and English. German is a plus;
- You are proficient with common IT tools, such as MS Office;
- You are commercially minded and a natural negotiator, always looking for win-win solutions;
- You have a positive attitude, are trustworthy, and capable of working both independently and as a connector between teams;
- You are willing to travel and spend your time together with customers and prospects.
